What is Call Hunt?

Our Call Hunt feature allows you to manage unanswered calls to your ViaTalk phone number.

For example:

A call comes in on your ViaTalk line and rings for the full 'ring seconds' length you've set:
Instead of sending the caller to your voicemail box, our 'Call Hunt' feature will forward to the first number on your 'Call Hunt' list.
If that number does not answer (during the time you've allowed) the call is forwarded to the next number in your 'Call Hunt' list.
If one of the numbers on the list is busy – It will skip to the next immediately.
Finally, if the call reaches the end of your 'Call Hunt' group and is still unanswered – It will go to your ViaTalk voicemail box.

Some helpful tips:

The 'Ring Seconds' on your ViaTalk line must be limited – This feature will not work with infinite ring seconds.

You must use 11 digits when entering numbers into your list 15551231234 Type the 11 digits into the
number field, and click “Update”.

The 'Clear' button will remove the number from your hunt group.

Ring Seconds represents the amount of time your caller will ring that particular number. You can have the call ring from 15 seconds to 60 seconds.

International numbers are not supported by the hunt group.

You may program up to 5 numbers into your hunt group.
